Honey and Food goes together like…. 😋

See this content in the original post

They go together so well. I once read that honey is one of the oldest food to mankind, ahem human(kind), it dates back to 2100 BC. Wow! who knew honey had that kind of history. I am yet to come up with a food item that does not go well with honey. There is honey roasted peanuts, honey ham, honey glaze, honey on top of scones, between bread and it even is its own word of endearment “Honey, let’s help the bees”. It can be drizzled, spread, dipped, baked, cooked, sautéed and licked right off a spoon. It is not just the history of honey that is fascinating, it is also its versatility in food.

Honey! Comforting?

Honey is comforting (ever had a dry cough? -that is for another blog, the health impacts of honey), it is a less guilty sweet indulgence than its alternate, you know who, yet folks don’t use honey to its full potential or often enough. For a food item that stores and goes well with many things it gets overlooked.

With the rise in naturally infused flavors of honey, it is time to elevate your honey game. Give the orange blossom honey a try in that outdated coleslaw, or drizzle that wild flower honey over your morning tea or try one of the many honey recipes by Rosie Honey.
